Statement of Faith

What We Believe

  • We believe the Bible is the only written Word of God; it is inspired by Him and is wholly trustworthy and authoritative (2 Tim. 3:15-16).
  • We believe in one God, eternally manifested and existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19, John 10:30, John 16:13-15).
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14), in His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:34-35), in His miracles (John 2:11, Acts 10:38), in His substitutionary and atoning death (1 Cor.15:3, Heb. 2:9, Heb. 10:10,14), in His bodily resurrection (1 Cor. 15:4, John 2:21-22, Luke 24:6), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9, Eph. 1:20, Col. 3:1), and in His personal future return to the earth in power and glory (Mark 13:26, Matt. 16:27).
  • We believe in the necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit because of man's sinful nature inherited from Adam; and we believe that man is justified only through God's grace by personal repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood (John 3:16-19, Rom. 3:23-24, Rom. 5:8-9, Eph. 2:8-10, Titus 3:5).
  • We believe in the resurrection of all persons; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment (John 5:28-29).
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:9, 1 Cor. 12:12-13, Gal. 3:26-28).
  • We believe in the present, active ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the believer receives sanctification and the power to live a godly life, including manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:13-14, 1 Cor. 3: 16, 1 Cor. 6:19-20, Eph. 5: 18, Eph. 4:30, 1 Cor. 12:1-11).

1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware. 2 You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit. 4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. 7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.

1 Cor. 3: 16

Rom. 8:13-14
New American Standard Bible

26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Gal. 3:26-28
New American Standard Bible

12 For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

1 Cor. 12:12-13
New American Standard Bible

However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

Rom. 8:9
New American Standard Bible

28 Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, 29 and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.
